For Group insurance plans in Oregon you need two or more employees, working at least 17.5 hours a week.   There are no medical questions for small group policies and everyone is eligible.  What we need is the zip code of the business.  The ages of the employees, if there is a spouse and if there are any children.  

We will send the group census to the insurance companies and they will send us a print out of the prices and availability of the different plans that are available.  Some insurance companies send it the next day others will take a week or two.

You can also set up a section 125 of the tax code. Any insurance not covered by the company can be tax free for the employees and save the business owners money on their taxes.  With the cost of insurance increasing the Flex accounts are becoming very important.
